Meet the Moores

Pastor Moore became Lead Pastor of the Gallatin congregation in 2003. He is a graduate of Tomlinson College with a degree in Bible, a graduate of Bible Training Institute, completed business courses at Walter State College, and proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corp. In 1972, he began a pastoral ministry in his home state of Tennessee, later serving in Wisconsin, Louisiana, and then back to Tennessee in 1993. During his tenure in Clarksville, TN, he was introduced to and became friends with a Korean congregation in the area. The pastoral family expressed an interest in the teachings of the Church of God of Prophecy, so Pastor Moore began classes with the Korean ministers almost immediately. From that, the first Korean COGOP in the United States was organized. From this union, more contacts were made, and the second Korean COGOP was then organized in California. Pastor Moore remains active with the Korean connection. He has served in ministry as a local and district Youth Director, Evangelist, Pastor, District Overseer, Sectional Overseer, Senior Youth Camp Director, Field Secretary to the State Overseer, and Pastor at a Drug & Rehabilitation Facility. After two years of ministry there, he was able to testify that each man had received salvation. Pastor Moore served on the TN State Board of Directors and TN State Finance Committee for 25+ years. Having recently stepped away from this responsibility, at the request of the State Bishop, he remains as his personal consultant.

Originally from Clarksville, TN, Windell and his wife Myrna (Hill) were married in 1971, have three lovely daughters, and added three sons in love and five precious grandchildren. Myrna is from White Bluff, TN, and attended Austin Peay State University. She has a Professional Secretary/Executive Administrative Certification and has enjoyed a lifetime career in business offices. She has a heart for "communicating with the deaf community" and for 32 years, directed a Christmas time Children's Choir "signing" as they sang. Myrna began her love for piano at the age of four. Each morning as her mother pulled the bed away from the wall to straighten the covers, she ran beside the bed and pretended to play on the windowsill. Soon a toy piano was gifted by her aunt, and her life of music began. By age seven, she was comfortably singing and playing the piano in church. Music and singing have always been the heartbeat of her life, her way of worship, and she is so grateful to have had this opportunity in ministry all these years.
