Hey! I'm Evan Jones, and I was born and raised right here in Gallatin. I'm married to my forever love, Hollie, and we have a mini golden doodle named Nala. I like to say if I am not working, churching, or chilling at home, I'd rather be golfing with friends and family. I also enjoy rooting for my beloved Georgia Bulldogs on fall Saturdays.

My passion for youth started when I moved back home after college. One simple "yes" when asked to work VBS turned into more and more opportunities to serve the Lord. One key moment was serving as a cabin leader for a group of 15-18 year old guys in 2018. That week God started calling me deeper in my faith, evident by receiving the baptism of the Holy Spirit. If you would've told me then about all the amazing things God would do in my life for His glory, I would have definitely laughed and not believed you. It's been a joy to serve the Lord for the past five years at Gallatin COGOP, and I am excited to serve our state youth as the new state youth director as well.

Hello! My name is Shirley Lawrence, and I am over the senior ministry, otherwise known as the Joy Group.

My passion for the Joy Group ministry revolves around loving and encouraging our seniors every way by visiting, calling, and taking food and flowers when they are sick. I hope to achieve a greater love and friendship among us all and a greater outreach for others like visiting nursing homes again.

​

Our regular meeting is every third Tuesday, where we gather to pray, read and discuss scripture, play games, and tell stories about how and where we grew up. We also close with a delicious lunch, (we all try to bring a dish or a dessert) and sometimes we go out to eat together. We love for you to join us in this fellowship! 

Hello! My name is June Gordon, and I am a proud native of Bronx, New York. I've been married to my husband, Robert, for over 30 years. Together, we have been blessed with three wonderful children, Brittany, Brian, and Braiden. In my free times, I enjoy shopping, window shopping, and relaxing with a good comedy or engaging mystery.

My heart for women's ministry comes from a deep desire to see women grow spiritually, walk confidently in their God-given purpose, and live out their faith with boldness and grace. Through this ministry, my goal is to create a nurturing and faith-filled environment where women can deepen their relationship with Christ, build authentic connections with one another, and be encouraged to serve their families, church, and community with love.

Along with meeting regularly for Bible study on the first Wednesday of each month, we are also involved in a variety of special events throughout the year, such as Women's Day, Women's Retreat, Ladies Luncheons, and Fellowship Nights, all designed to strengthen faith, foster community, and empower women to live out their calling in Christ.

Hello! We are Jeff and Kimmy Jones from Gallatin, TN, and we are the leaders of the College & Career ministry. Jeff enjoys reading, watching sports, listening to music, and spending time with family, and Kimmy enjoys listening to music, playing music, drawing, graphic design, and spontaneous adventures.

We have both been involved in youth ministry for over 25 years, and we are high school teachers, which is so much more than a career; it's a calling. More recently, we have felt called to the college and career ministry, and together we lead the SaltLight College and Career discipleship group, which meets both on Wednesday nights at the church and on occasional Saturdays throughout the year to enjoy food, fun, and fellowship.

Our passion for ministry is driven by our own encounters with Christ. God changes everything, and we believe He can change the lives of others. Ministry encompasses every aspect of our lives... from family, to church, and to the classroom.

Hello! My name is Starla Marsh. I am the nursery director, and I also help teach children's church on Wednesday nights. I was born in Portland, TN, but was raised in Gallatin, TN, and I am proud to call this town my home. I enjoy reading, watching reality game shows, and spending time with my family.

I have always loved being around children, especially babies and toddlers. In a room full of people, I just naturally gravitate towards the little ones, and I am passionate about teaching them God's word and showing them the love of Jesus, even at such an early age.

Hello! My name is Larry Meadors, but most people know me as Bubba. I've been married to my beautiful wife Kelly for 35 years, and we've been in ministry together since 2007. My hobbies are playing golf, being with my grandchildren, Ezra and Ivy, and shooting firearms.

I am currently serving as the Men's Ministry Leader where my passion is to see a Christ-centered, prayer-focused, Word-impacted, and relationship-building ministry that impacts not just our church, but the community as well. Our ministry scripture is Ephesians 4:13 which simply calls us to "be mature men, measured by the stature of Christ."
